Lymphormation: Update and Professional Exchange in Lymphology

On Saturday, September 12, “Lymphormation – What Really Matters in Lymphology?”, an important event dedicated to the field of lymphology, was held in Bologna.

Our Orthopaedic Technician, Dr. Linda Santoro, a specialist in the provision of custom-made compression garments and devices for the management of lymphedema and lipedema, also attended the event, taking the opportunity to further her professional knowledge and engage in valuable discussions with leading experts in the field, including Dr. Macciò, Dr. Onorato, Prof. Boccardo, Dr. Gazzabin, Dr. Serrantoni, and Dr. Mancini.

Particularly noteworthy was the innovative format of the conference, which provided an opportunity to explore clinical and therapeutic aspects related to the management of patients with lymphedema and/or lipedema. The use of innovative multimedia technologies contributed to creating a dynamic and engaging environment, ensuring a high level of participation, attention, and involvement from both the faculty and the audience.

The management of these conditions requires a personalised and multidisciplinary approach, in which clinical assessment, therapy, rehabilitation, and the appropriate selection of compression garments are integrated according to each patient’s specific needs.
