Anti-thrombosis stockings are used to reduce the risk of thrombosis. These stockings are often worn in situations where individuals remain immobile for long periods, such as during a hospital stay or after surgery.
Anti-thrombosis stockings apply graduated pressure to the leg, with the highest compression at the ankle gradually decreasing up the leg. This helps push the blood upward, improving venous circulation and reducing the risk of venous stasis and blood clot formation.
Anti-thrombosis stockings are available in thigh-high, stay-up, and knee-high versions.
