NEUROLOGICAL ORTHOSES – REFRESHER COURSE March 2–3, 2019

On March 2nd and 3rd, we took part in the refresher course on splinting techniques with Dr. Silvio Toco, occupational therapist at C.RI.M.A.S., held at Cascina Cova in Pavia.

Splinting has seen significant development in recent years, particularly in the field of rehabilitation. Hand orthoses serve preventive, corrective, and functional purposes, and can also be used to temporarily immobilize a joint, simulating an arthrodesis.
